Philadelphia’s Energy Benchmarking Law

Mondre Energy can help commercial building owners in Philadelphia comply with and benefit from Philadelphia’s new Energy Benchmarking Law. The law requires owners of commercial buildings with 50,000 square feet or more of interior space to prepare Statements of Energy Performance using the EPA’ ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager. Electric, natural gas, steam, oil, and water data is required, along with building occupancy and other information. Tenants must be polled for the required data, and Statements of Energy Performance must be made available to potential renters or buyers.

Working with Mondre Energy eliminates the hassle and headache of compliance. Mondre Energy makes it easy for you to comply with the Benchmarking Law quickly, accurately, and economically.

Our team includes certified and licensed professionals in energy engineering and auditing—providing expertise in all phases of energy data collection, analysis, and reporting. Building owners can benefit from the new law. Energy benchmarking can be the first step towards achieving energy efficiency and reducing energy costs. Many energy efficiency upgrades can be costeffective with economic paybacks. A Portfolio Manager score of 75 or above can qualify a building for ENERGY STAR® certification, providing a competitive advantage to building owners.
